Fans Start Petition

A fan group calling themselves Jubilee Avenue has started a petition and now has 149 supporters.

It calls on the NRL to bring about change at the Dragons. It says :-

We request the Australian Rugby League Commission take action on behalf of the members of the St George Illawarra Dragons to force governance reform upon the board of the St George Illawarra Dragons.

We believe the current board of directors are unfit to continue to progress our club, as evidenced by financial debt, poor staffing decisions, declining crowds/membership and poor on field results.

We believe there has been an acceptance of mediocrity within the organisation and that without urgent action, one of the proudest and most popular clubs in the game will continue to decline. There is a lack of accountability on behalf of the board and due to an unfair electing system, we have no other voice to enact change.
